This is an explanation of how a new project came to be. Sometimes we need press releases and we need to articulate all sorts of details. Here, we’d like to simply state the facts about Heartbeats.
The idea was to make a few demos and to build an album strictly in the studio around the initial recordings.
The culprits: Ryan Carrera (Alarmists) and Eric Lovold (Alarmists), Chris Dillon (The Arms Akimbo),and
Jason McGlone (The Fontanelles). We made demos, made full recordings at several studios, including Fuzzy Slippers, Instrument Control, and Essential Sessions. As soon as the recordings took on their own identity, a live band was born.
This first single is being released on Christmas day for charity. Last year, the public came out and supported
a charity show for a few artists that lost their work in a robbery. This year, we’d like to give it back by
allowing the public to download this song for free, or to optionally donate to the charity organization Rock
the Cause in any amount desired.
“Radio Distraction” is the first single. More to come in 2012.
